This monitor works using a single USB-C cable. Make sure you're using a lightning capable USB-C cable. otherwise the computer won't detect the monitor. It also has a second USB-C port so that you can plug a power source into the monitor to provide power back to your laptop.It actually has 3 USB-C ports on the back which in a sense makes it a USB-C hub, but the extra ports are really for if you can't use USB-C to provide connectivity. In the box there's also a USB-C to HDMI cable for which you'll also need to supply additional power to the monitor. Leaving one port to spare.The kickstand in the back is different. As you can see, there's a removable flap that attaches to the back on either of the two slots. Opposite the USB-C ports is a cog wheel that provides controls for the monitor's settings. Standard stuff, brightness, contrast and eco modes. The kickstand is pretty versatile, but the whole mount seems to add a lot of bulk to the back.Lastly, I want to mention that it also comes with a protective flap that's cushioned and straps tightly to the back of the monitor when stowed.
